Even during the off season, the weather in Portugal is still perfect to play golf. During high season, temperatures can reach 30 degrees Celsius while in the colder months, expect it to range from around 16 – 19 degrees Celsius (practically summer if you are from the United Kingdom). Do expect a little rain in winter, although this slows the course down a bit, especially the greens which are pretty fast during summer thanks to the blazing Portuguese sun.

A large percentage of golf courses in Portugal are built on golfing resorts, or near them at least. Not only does this help sort out any accommodation problems, but it opens up a number of excellent facilities, from pro shops, golfing tuition, practice facilities and a range of entertainment for your family.
